ICCP - Cramps

The spire of St Mary's Church in Kidlington dates from 1450 and contains eighteen courses of embedded iron cramps. These cramps have been subject to corrosion and expansion, leading to the eventual cracking of the historic stonework. A discrete ICCP system was designed and installed in 2006 to control further corrosion of the embedded cramps.
