ICCP - Holding Down Bolts

The eighteen roof truss holding bolts (3.5m in length) were installed during construction of the church but are now structurally redundant. They have been subject to corrosion in recent years, but are so firmly embedded that their removal would have damaged the fabric of the church. An ICCP system was designed, installed and commissioned by Rowan Technologies in 1997. A second ICCP system was installed in 2003, successfully controlling the ongoing corrosion of the bolts.
