ICCP - Tie Bar

The tower at St Mary's Church has eight embedded wrought iron tie bars (approximately 1000mm in length) which have been subject to long-term corrosion, resulting in the fracturing of historic stones. To replace the embedded metalwork would have meant dismantling and rebuilding the tower, and was deemed too destructive. An ICCP system was designed and implemented to control further corrosion.
